RICHARD WEYAND SCHEDULED FOR SENTENCING ON FEBRUARY 18TH, 2015

On March 24th, 2014, the assistant US Attorney Andrew Williams filed an indictment against Richard Weyand. In USA vs. Richard Weyand (Eastern District of Texas) the US Attorney charged Weyand with one felony charge.

"On or about October 21, 2009, in the Eastern District of Texas, Richard Weyand, defendant, willfully made and subscribed a United States Individual Income Tax Return Form 1040, for calendar year 2008, which was verified by written declaration under the penalties of perjury and which he did not believe true and correct as to every material matter, in that Form 1040 did not reflect the defendants had additional taxable income of $101,000 in 2008 over and above what was reflected, when he knew that he had such taxable income exceeding the amount stated on the Form 1040".

This is in violation of Making and Subscribing false Tax Returns. Penalty is Imprisonment for not more than three years; a fine of not more than $250,000, a term of supervised release of not more than one year.

On May 5th, 2014, the Judge accepted a guilty plea from the defendant. Sentencing will take place on February 18th, 2015.

Reading between the lines, it appears that those interested parties supporting Kelly G Rogers have successfully exacted their revenge on Weyand who it would appear is about to become a convicted felon.

"have successfully exacted their revenge"

I doubt these criminals, Kelly or otherwise need anybodys revenge assistance burying themselves. The authorities dont read these blogs anyway. But it does make for a good victim mentality argument for the criminals

Make no mistake my commenting friend, Weyand would have NEVER been brought up on ANY charges if not for ONE investor pushing the issue. Same with Rogers. His came out of a civil lawsuit and ONE guy pushing the issue.

Those convictions didn't just MAGICALLY happen?!

Sad story, Fred's wonderful family attended Northwest church, it is a sad situation especially the message it sends to the anti Christian community watching.

Are the two "investors" who started this entire mess a matter of public record?

Who are they, can someone point them out on this board? Might they have gone a different route to straighten this whole thing out without creating a display? Couldn't Charles Bundren have been a mediator in the case?

Agreed with most of your comments that it does reflect negatively on the Christian Community. However, I don't consider Rogers a Christian.

In the case of Rogers, it was a Frisco resident named Bradley Dean. Rogers had ample opportunities to make amends with investors but chose to do the wrong thing. Even after the SEC came to Rogers, Bundren, Theissen and Weyand to expose that Level Par was investing in existing Ponzi schemes (June, 2006), Rogers continued to push the narrative it was legit. He's a scumbag and Carrie is not far behind him as she lied, stole and cheated also and the Feds knew it and used it as a negotiation tool against rogers.

Weyand wasn't much better. He'd take money from some, invest or open other entities. He took many investors for a ride. Even Bundren couldn't mediate this mess. He could only protect Weyand from the SEC investigation of Level Par. But ultimately, Fred's group invested and lost and would not stop until Weyand got his.

Sad.

Mr. Weyand filed his second bankruptcy proceeding in Plano on 2-10-2016.
The list of creditors reveals a few more believers who apparently got burned, but probably not by Rogers.
